Finding Eanswythe's Water

October 10, 2018

FRAG are assisting with the Finding Eanswythe community archaeology project this week. This is an investigation into part of the course of what was the source of fresh water brought from the local springs to the Bayle.  The dig in Cheriton's Morehall Recreation ground will run until the weekend. The following pictures show progress. Whilst there is evidence of later victorian pipes the search goes on for signs of the original watercourse. Thanks to Lynne, Vic and to Ray for these photos.
