Folkestone Museum Reopening and Covid-19

Folkestone Museum is pleased to announce that it will re-open on Thursday 6th August 2020 at 12 noon, initially on Thursdays to Saturdays in the short term. As part of the Covid-19 safety measures, there will be a one way system in place so that visitors do not have to pass on the stairs between upper and lower galleries and exiting the museum will be through the

downstairs ground floor exit. Track and trace will be in operation at Reception and hand

will be available at the entrance to the museum. Face coverings are mandatory in line with current Government guidelines on museums.

Depending upon the length of the current pandemic, the museum may have to implement pre-booked entry slots so that social distancing can be observed, but this will obviously depend on visitor numbers over the next month. We’ll keep you informed if there’s any changes. On behalf of every one at Folkestone Museum we’re delighted to finally re-open and look forward to welcoming you back to the museum!
