FRAG Members onsite at KAS Lees Court Dig
FRAG Members have been active on the Kent Archaeological Society's Less Court Project. In September 2017 five Bronze Age Hoards were discovered on the Estate. This September the project is to excavate the site where two of the hoards were found. This is looking to see if any further hoards might exist and if they are possibly located within a Bronze Age settlement. This phase of the dig is to complete by the end of this month.
Many thanks to Chairman Joel and Lynda for the following pictures.
Following readying the site in the last weekend in August to much further digging and also a guided walk up to the smaller dig opposite Stringmans Farm, including chalky features in trench, ring ditch and overgrown flint-covered barrow.
