East Wear Bay Archeological School 2015

Summer 2015 brings the start of the inaugural East Wear Bay Archaeological school. This is likely to be an annual event arranged by Canterbury Archaeological trust and  offers opportunities to students and other interested archaeologists to dig on the significant East Wear Bay site. Subject to previous excavations, most recently that of the ‘A Town Unearthed Project’ this site offers a chance to join in the rewriting of local history notably that of the iron age period. FRAG are partners in the running of this project and are facilitating the finds processing. Here are our photos from an warm and welcoming return to one of our favourite dig sites.

The Chairman’s review. Here is our Chairman’s selection of photos taken throughout this years inaugural Archaeological school. So good to see every one including many old friends from ‘A Town Unearthed’ experiences. We look forward to 2016 and revisiting this significant site again.
